Actor Jackson Anthony has been transferred to the National Hospital in Colombo for surgery after being admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital yesterday following an accident with a wild elephant.
Anthony and two other people were injured after their vehicle collided with a wild elephant in Thalawa last night. They were returning from filming at the Haththikuchchi Viharaya in Galgamuwa when their vehicle collided with a wild elephant.
According to reports, the veteran actor’s brother is also among those injured.
The vehicle was severely damaged in the crash, and police believe the wild elephant was critically injured as well.
