The mother who was receiving treatment after jumping into Ambilipitiya Chandrika lake with her two children has died.
The police said that the 32-year-old mother died while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Embilipitiya Hospital.
The five-year-old boy died in the incident, while the other 11-year-old boy is currently receiving treatment at Embilipitiya Hospital.
The woman had jumped into the Chandrika lake with her two children this afternoon (01) while members of the police lifeguard team had rescued the mother and one child.
