Update on the distribution of gas. Meanwhile, the distribution of over 100,000 cylinders per day commencing July 10 is in the works, according to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who spoke to the Parliament about the delivery of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas.
In order to meet Colombo’s daily demand, the Premier additionally announced that 125,000 LP gas cylinders with a 12.5kg capacity will be distributed.
He claims that after the shipment arrives on July 9, LP gas distribution is anticipated to start on July 11.
On July 11 and 12, distribution is scheduled at 140 locations throughout Colombo, and preparations are being made to distribute more than 140,000 LP gas cylinders in just two days, he said.
From July 10 or 11, PM Wickremesinghe added, actions will be done to distribute 112,000 LP gas cylinders on a daily basis throughout the nation.
