What happens in Parliament today? Beginning this morning in Parliament, the nominations of candidates for the Presidency will be accepted.

The House has been told by the Secretary-General of Parliament that the nominations will be accepted today at 10 a.m.

There are now four candidates who have declared their intent to run for President.

The Parliament will then meet again on Wednesday, July 20, when a vote to choose a new President will take place.

On the day set aside to hold the election for “President by Parliament,” the Secretary-General of Parliament will serve in the capacity of the “Returning Officer.”
