A 21-year-old woman was shot dead in her house in Shiva Nagar, Nedunkeni last night (18).
The police said that the woman was shot when she opened the backdoor of her house and stepped onto the porch.
They further said that it is suspected that someone had been hiding close to the house, while the suspect had fled after the shooting.
The reason for the murder has not yet been revealed.
Nedunkeni police are conducting investigations to arrest the suspects wanted for the murder.
