According to Professor Chandana Jayaratne, director of the University of Colombo’s Astronomy and Space Science Unit, a partial solar eclipse will be visible near the western horizon tomorrow (25).
He stated that this eclipse will be visible in most of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Western parts of Asia, and that this solar eclipse will be visible in Jaffna and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
According to Prof. Chandana Jayaratne, the partial solar eclipse will be visible in Jaffna for approximately 22 minutes beginning at 5.27 p.m. and in Colombo beginning at 5.43 p.m.
