Thilini Priyamali, who is remanded in Welikada Prison on charges of large-scale financial fraud, will be presented to the Fort Magistrate’s Court today (19) via Skype, said Prisons Media Spokesman, Additional Commissioner General of Prisons Mr. Chandana Ekanayake.
Mr. Ekanayake further said that the court had previously set a date for her to appear in the Fort Magistrate’s Court today, but that due to special circumstances, she will be detained in prison and will appear in court online.
