A victim’s selfie aids in the capture of chain

Published:

Two hours after committing a robbery, two suspects were detained as a result of a selfie the victim took.

Accordingly, two men held a knife to the neck of a woman in order to steal a gold chain from her.

Nevertheless, the victim was able to capture the robber’s face in a selfie at the time, and she sent the photo to two nearby police officers.

The Homagama Police were then notified by the police officers, and they were able to locate the two suspects using the photographic evidence.

The two suspects were caught riding a motorcycle in the Pitapana region.

The two males were found to be in possession of around ten and a half grams of heroin, a mortgage receipt for Rs. 90,000 from a Godagama bank, and a Rambo knife.
