Secretary to the Ministry of Education Nihal Ranasinghe says all government and government funded schools, which were closed due to the recent bad weather, will reopen today.
Schools across the island closed on Friday, the 9th of December, due to the unusual drop in air quality levels.
The National Building Research Organization says air quality levels have returned to normal.
Accordingly the Education Secretary says schools will operate as usual from today.
