The Sri Lankan Transport Minister has given the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board notice that he must resign immediately for failing to carry out the government’s directives for the welfare of the nation’s citizens.

According to the authority granted to him by the Sri Lanka Transport Board Act No. 25 of 2005, the Minister has informed SLTB Chairman Kingsley Ranawaka to resign immediately, according to information provided by the Ministry of Transport and Highways.

It states that the fundamental cause of this choice was the SLTB’s willful disregard for the choices made by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Therefore, Kingsley Ranawaka has been informed to step down from the SLTB Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
