Restaurants to close on the 9th July. Asela Sampath, President of the All Sri Lanka Canteen Owners Association has stated that they have agreed to close down operations of outlets selling food, in support of the protest planned for 9th July 2022.
On July 9, a sizable public demonstration is anticipated in Colombo calling for the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his administration.
The protesters, which will likely include political parties like SJB and JVP as well as civil organizations, will march toward Galle Face.
