Former UNP MP appointed SL Counsel General to Melbourne

Sandith Samarasinghe, a former lawmaker, has been named the Sri Lankan government’s general counsel in Melbourne, Australia.

Yesterday, Sandith Samarasinghe started working in the Sri Lankan Consulate General in Melbourne.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed him to serve as the Sri Lankan consul general in Melbourne, Australia.

After being chosen from the Kegalle District in 2015, Sandith Samarasinghe represented the United National Party (UNP) and served as a member of the Sri Lankan Parliament.
