India Records 15,528 New COVID-19 Cases and 25 Covid Deaths in 24 Hours

India had 15,528 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,37,83,062. However, the number of active cases went down to 1,43,654, according to new data from the Union Health Ministry.
Since May 23, the number of open cases had been going up.

At 8 a.m., data showed that 25 more people had died, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,25,785.

The active cases make up 0.33 percent of all infections, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate was found to be 98.47 percent, according to the ministry.

Over the course of 24 hours, the number of active COVID-19 cases went down by 610.

The ministry said that the daily positivity rate was 3.32 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 4.57 percent.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease rose to 4,311,136,23, and the number of people who died from it was 1.2%.

So far, 200.33 billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given in the country, according to the Ministry.

India’s total for COVID-19 went over 20 million on August 7, 2020, 30 million on August 23, 40 million on September 5, and 50 million on September 16. It passed 60 million on September 28, 70 million on October 11, 80 million on October 29, 90 million on November 20, and 1 million on December 19.

Last year, on May 4 and June 23, the country passed the sad milestones of two crores and three crores. It went over four billion on January 25 of this year.

Six of the new deaths happened in West Bengal, five happened in Kerala, three happened in Assam, two happened in Bihar, Delhi, and Punjab, and one happened in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, and Rajasthan.
