Manusha Nanayakkara, the Minister of Foreign Employment, gave an update on how many people have signed up for foreign jobs in Sri Lanka this year.
At 23:42 on July 23, 2022, 166,719 people had signed up with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, according to the Minister.
Sri Lanka wants to encourage foreign employment and remittances through legal channels to increase its foreign exchange earnings so it can buy things like food, medicine, and fuel.
